Job Title:

Roof Repair Technician

Job Summary:

Repair, replace and install roofs on residential houses and commercial businesses. They inspect roofs to ensure there are no leaks or any damage that might cause leaks in the future.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Comfortable working on ladders and roofs.
•  Inspect roofs to determine the best repair or replacement procedures.
•  Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems.
•  Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific areas.
•  Install insulation and vapor barriers.
•  Ensure roofing projects are completed on time and within budget.
•  Adhere to safety protocols and use protective equipment.
•  Communicate with clients to understand their roofing needs and provide solutions.
•  Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
•  Work with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
•  Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
•  Identify and address any potential roofing issues before they become major problems.
•   Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
•  Perform routine maintenance on existing roofs.
•  Remove debris and clean up job sites after completing roofing projects.
• Maintain clean, neat, and professional appearance.
• Maintain a clear, neat and professional workspace.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
•  Proven experience as a Roofing Technician or similar role.
•  Knowledge of various roofing materials and techniques.
•  Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
•  Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
•  Proficiency in using roofing tools and equipment.
•  Excellent problem-solving skills.
•  Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•  Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
•  Flexibility to work overtime and weekends if needed.
•  Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years related experience required.
